Dr. Nupur Gupta is a passionate academician and an avid researcher with a doctorate in Business Management (Finance area) from BIT, Mesra. She was featured in the list of India’s Best finance teachers for the year 2021 by the Association of India’s Wealth Management of India (now Equality). She has passed the German Language B2 examination certified by The European Language Certificates (TELC) in 2019. She has received the recognition of Accredited Management Teacher (Financial Management) by All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi, 2013.

Prior to joining Jaipuria Institute of Management, she worked at the School of Business Management - NMIMS, University, Navi Mumbai as an Assistant Professor in Finance (2019-2022). Her other teaching engagements include- teaching at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany (visiting professor, in 2018 ), KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (2013-2017); Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management (2007-2013) and Sadhana Centre for Management & Leadership Development (2007) as core faculty.

She is an economics graduate from Delhi University and MBA (Finance), ICFAI Business School and has a CFA charter from ICFAI (India). Her areas of teaching include Corporate Finance, Wealth Management, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, Financial Markets & Institutions, and Fixed Income Securities.

Prior to joining academia, she had worked with HDFC Bank on the retail front as a Relationship Manager for HNI clients. She started her career as a management trainee in Mutual Funds advisory with SKP Securities, Ltd.

She has authored more than 20 research papers, in Scopus indexed and ABDC list of journals. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences to present her research work. Most of her research is empirical in nature, in which she has used statistical and econometric methods in addressing the research problem.

She endeavors to continually upgrade her teaching at the post-graduate level by undergoing contemporary courses through MOOCs. She constantly guides her students on various academic and research projects.

Currently, She is working as Associate Professor with Jaipuria Institute of Management, which is one of the best PGDM/MBA College in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and provide MBA equivalent PGDM courses in different streams.
